Welcome

Today you are one step closer to a better understanding how you or your child learns and processes information and what will be the best learning techniques moving forward!

Dr. Jensen has conducted psychological and psychoeducational assessments for 30 years in the Tidewater area and clients have traveled from Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, and West Virginia for her services. Her reports are comprehensive, thorough, and easy to understand--void of the traditional jargon. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate level courses as an Adjunct Faculty member at Regent University, Old Dominion University, and Virginia Wesleyan College in courses pertaining to Testing and Assessment and other topics in mental health.

The goal of psychoeducational assessments is to understand how a student processes information as well as to determine if a formal learning disability/difference is present, which may be impacting academic performance. These assessments serve as a GPS for future academic plans in that they provide individuals with valuable information regarding how they learn new information.  The goal of psychological assessments is understanding how an individual relates to the world around them and what solutions might be most effective for improving his/her quality of life.

Additionally, Dr. Jensen will conduct "third-party" reviews of assessments conducted by others and provide her feedback.  She also performs IEE's (Independent Educational Evaluations) for public schools in the Tidewater and surrounding area.
